![]() I don't have a specific ETA or budget for this, I'm open to hearing people out. Also a list of all the mods I have for general compat reasons / in case I missed any that add extra biomes. Here's a link to my Google Sheet with a tab with biomes mapped to their custom dimensions. So what I'm looking for is a mod, or if possible a datapack, that can prevent other mods from overhauling overworldgen while still making their tags/contents usable in custom dimensions. I think what I'm looking for will need to be a custom mod that adds this compatibility. I don't think data packs will work because of the nature of mods defaulting to overworld generation. I've tried doing data packs with /worldgenexport and replacing overworld generation with default settings - however, this causes errors. Primarily I'm thinking of Biomes You'll Go + Terralith (running on Forge 1.18.2) however, some mods also come with custom biomes. The bigger struggle I'm facing right now is isolating biomes from mods to custom dimensions. E.g., a dimension featuring medieval content from different mods.Ĭontent related to mob spawns or structures seems like I can configure most of that pretty easily with config files or data packs. Then using the FTB quests/advancements to guide users to their own custom dimensions, isolated with its own content. The idea would be the Overworld would be relatively unchanged, mainly vanilla+. I had an idea for a bigger mod pack (like ATM8), but isolating newer content into their own custom dimensions (using data packs).
